And yeah, the refs were calling lite tick-tack fouls on both ends, it was crazy, as Gus said it was called much different than in the regular season. Really sucked. Letting opponents bang is what makes the Big East a fun conference to watch.

Right, but to be honest, part of me doesn't give a shit. If i want to watch sleep inducing ACC style basketball then I can turn in on the Clemson - Georgia Tech game. Zzzzzzzz.

I getcha but it's crucial for the teams going to the tourney to be used to how the games are called. Otherwise you have guys with 2 fouls 4 minutes into the 1st game that matters(no 1/16 but yeah the 1/8 or 2/7 games for Nova/X- and then 1st games for all the other teams)- and you're up a creek w/o a paddle.

I completely agree. I think this was (obviously) stressed with the officials for this tournament by the Big East higher ups. I think this has really hurt our teams in the past two years in the NCAA Tourney because the BET games are called so much different. While it's not as enjoyable to watch, I think it could end up helping our teams. It's annoying, but this is what the NCAA wants their product to look like.
