Also Pac 12 if Cal, USC, and Oregon St make it this year will have 10/12 teams in the 3 years.... Only 2 Washington schools not making it....

what about Texas Tech?

They are a lock this year.

They are another example of a team that is reaping the benefits of scheduling aggressively.

and having 6 top 27 teams in their conference doesn't hurt....

although they did have Hawaii, South Dakota St, and UALR on their OOC schedule. It looked a lot better on paper than it really was.... The only P5 teams they played- Utah(loss), Miss St, Minnesota, and Arkansas(loss).

Yep, it hurts. In the 8 years we were in the Old Big East we finished with double-digit wins 7 times. The year we didn't we were 9-9 and went to the Sweet Sixteen. Heck, it wasn't even until last year that we had a below .500 conference record in a Big East season and we were one Depaul phantom foul away from going 9-9 this year.

Would you currently call Nova a notch below blue blood? Because they've had literally the same amount of success that we did in that 12 year stretch.

yes, probably several notches below, it's not like they are or you were, in any way coming close to becoming a UCLA, Kentucky, Duke or Carolina

heck, if it weren't for Dwayne Wade's final four, Xavier has arguably enjoyed more success than marquette has in the past 15-20 years and i'd say we're pretty far from being a blue blood.

I know you guys have won at least a share of a Big East regular season title, have you guys ever won the conference tourny? I can't remember if you did though I know there was a stretch where you beat us during the tourny. I was at one of those games. haha

If it is just one notch, it is still a BIG notch. We were a Top 20 program for sure. I would still put us in the 3rd Tier though. 1st Tier would be KU, UCLA (3FF), UNC, Duke, Kentucky. 2nd Tier Michigan St, Florida, Louisville, UConn, Arizona, Texas. 3rd Tier is much bigger and includes teams like Georgetown, Villanova, Syracuse, Gonzaga, Marquette, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio St, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Memphis, etc. We didn't win enough regular season titles to be considered up there (to be fair, titles in a 16-team league are pretty ridiculously hard to get...conferences those size are just getting silly).

Never a tourny title. 14-4 in 2012 and 2013 that had us first in the regular season (once due to Cuse vacating their wins I think in 2012. I think we were technically 2nd that year)

Yes, well put. I'd say X and Butler are probably solidly in that third tier at this point as well.
