Palm isn't a good bracketologist. One of the worst quite frankly...

Lunardi much better.
He had Xavier and Nova both as 2's before this week. Now since then- UNC and Kentucky both lost(his other 2 2's) and Maryland, Michigan St, and Kansas all have lost. So VERY possible come tomorrow when his next bracket comes out that both of them are 1's.

Here's a link (http://bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html) to a ranking of bracketologists. Of 89 ranked, Lunardi is #36 and Palm is #56. This doesn't support either of your allegations bolded above.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

You have tried to downplay Lunardi before....

last 2 years- Lunardi is tied for 2nd best, last 3 years, he's tied for 12th.
Palm on the other hand- last 2 years 69th, last 3 years 70th.

Sorry but right now Lunardi is a significantly better bracketologist than Palm. Last 3 years it's not even been remotely close at all. 12 vs 70.

Also even if you take it full term- I'd rather have a guy in the 60% range over a guy in 37% range. And you look at it- ever since we went to 68- Palm has absolutely sucked.

Palm since '11 -10.4 1.8 -1.5 -5.3 1.5
Lunardi since '11 -1.4 4.8 6.5 8.7 16.5

Lunardi with the better bracket ALL 5 years- and all 5 years it's not even all that close.

With Michigan's State loss tonight I have no doubt there should be a consensus tomorrow with Villanova/Xavier being top seeds. Obviously this means very little right now. But it's always good to have the Big East being noticed.

http://www.bracketmatrix.com/ shows that Michigan State and Xavier are extremely close and that was prior to MSU's loss

Gr8 post ecasadoSbu.

It's all projection at this point, and one of the best in the business, jerry Palm, having two big east schools on top is gr8 and all but this is just fun to view at this point in the season.

But as fans of big east basketball it is gr8 to see

Palm is FAR from one of the best. Even overall taking in all the years he's in the 37% range. Last 3 years, he's #70. That's brutal..

Is Stever a xavier fan? why is trolling a thread addressed to Xavier fans from a villanova fanatic?

You don't view 20 spots in a group of 89 as significant? Seems rather foolish. And Stever is right about Lunardi's performance recently as compared to Palm's. Palm is average, and Lunardi is one of the better ones out there. A little over five years ago, they were both about average, but Lunardi has since improved while Palm has floundered in mediocrity.

latest Lunardi Bracketology:
Villanova 1 west vs Navy, then Notre Dame/UConn- Brooklyn
Butler 7 west vs 10 Florida then WVU- Raleigh
Xavier 2 MW vs 15 CS Bakersfield, then Wichita/Valpo- St Louis
Seton Hall 12 E PIG vs Oregon St, then Pitt, then Purdue- Spokane
Providence 6 E vs Texas Tech then Texas A&M- Oklahoma City

He has the 4 1's right now being Kansas, Oklahoma, and UNC along with Nova.

I still remember the year, I think it was Scottie's 1st season(IIRC, some Nova fan correct me if I'm wrong), that Lunardi had Nova on the wrong side of the bubble all year and not even close(not in the 1st 4 out). We ended up making fairly comfortably as a 9 seed. All year he dogged Nova, only to suddenly change his bracket at the last minute. Literally like 10 mins before the brackets were announced on live network TV, he changed and put Nova in at like a 10 seed after not even having them in pretty much all year or in his 1st 4 out at the time. He has an insider on the committee who gives him a low down on the bracket so he can change it at the last moment so it looks like he knows his shit.

Yeah, 2007. The year of the magical movement. No teams in the grouping for last four in and first eight out had played in days, but loonardi for some reason moved nova up 9 spots the morning of the selection. Bilas called him out for it as loonardi was clearly pushing his A10 sjuofpa agenda and lacking journalistic integrity with respect to nova and the big east (ended up syracuse was the first team left out that yr, and loonardi gave them no respect).

I do think loonardi was humbled for getting called out with his bias and has improved.

The thing with these bracket sites is that a bunch of them just copy each other and make slight changes. At least Palm sticks to his guns about how he sees the teams based on the criteria provided instead of trying to get the popular vote correct. That's what makes Palm one of the best.
