Niagara is St. John's fourth most played opponent after Villanova (111), Providence (106) and Georgetown (103) and is the most played of the non-conference opponents. In the Final Four season of 1984-85, St. John's ended the season with four losses. Three were to Georgetown and the other was to Niagara. One other note - with the win over St. Francis, the Johnnies become just the ninth program in history to win 1,800 games.

Sunday was SJ v. Fordham (I know, not really a rivalry).
Tuesday was X v. WSU (once again, not a real rivalry but a local school)
Wednesday we have SJ v. Niagara (not a real rivalry, but local schools), PC v. BC (real rivalry), and CU v. Nebraska (real rivalry)
Saturday we have Marquette v. Wisconsin (real rivalry) and X v. Cincy (real rivalry)
Fun week overall. I'm definitely getting my badger hate on for badger hate week.
SJ/Fordham was last Wed. not Sun.....BUT.....
this Sunday is St John's/Syracuse (real rivalry)
also last Saturday was Georgetown/Syracuse(real rivalry). hey, ESPN has championship weeks that last 9 days, why can't this rivalry week be 9 days?????

Yup, I was thinking of St. Francis Brooklyn. Same principle applies. Not a real rivalry but a local school. Those other two do fall slightly outside my window, but I'll allow it.

that's strange, on sports reference college basketball site, they have St John's with 1846 wins.

We had 46 wins vacated by the NCAA for violations under Mike Jarvis.
