Kudos to the Big East

I think it ends up being a great move for those going. Spend the day in the city, go to the game and then its still only 7:30/8 when its over. Also love the move having some double headers start at 6:30/8:30 instead of 7/9.

I agree and it has not been talked about to much. There is about 8 dates that FS1 doubleheaders start at 6:30Et/5:30 Ct.

There is more games on FS2 this season. Meaning more "normal" local time starts for non-conference games.

Yes, the marathon is Jan. 2, but we start Big East play with 2 games on Dec. 30th and three early afternoon games on NYE (2 games FS1) and one on CBSSN.

another thing- It feels like the Big East has been a bit more adamant about things than before. I mean, why would Fox want the Big East final off of FS1? Even with the NYE marathon- the BE basketball would get fox better ratings than whatever they're going to show. But it doesn't help the Big East out perception wise at all. It's like this year is far less about building up FS1 as it is getting the best possible setup for the Big East, regardless of FS1. And that is a welcome change IMO.
