And so it begins! Never been so excited for conference play before. Butler at Georgetown? Are you kidding? What a way to start off the race for a dance card for those two programs. Two new HCs have an opportunity to get a leg up on the other. Hopefully see a sold-out Wintrust and the X-men will be put to the test in Milwaukee. Going to go with Georgetown, Nova and X, all close games.

Georgetown
Nova
Tossup. Marquette always seems to give X trouble and our only loss this year was to lights out 3 point shooters with ASU. If I had to bet, I give the edge to Marquette.

Butler (1st game vs. good competition for G'town will be tough)
Nova (14 straight vs. DePaul)
Heart - Marq. (18 3's doom X); Head - X (X "D" clamps down and Marq. plays little D as an answer)
Go Nova!

most interested in Butler vs Gtown matchup.

Gtown's front court vs Butler's backcourt. This should go down to the wire.

Butler's next 4 opponents are Nova, Xavier, Seton Hall, Creighton. If they lose this one, they could be looking at 0-5 start.

There shouldn't be any drama in other games. Although I like to see how Marquette's backcourt handles the length of Xavier backcourt.

Interesting BU/GU opener, chance to see what both teams are going to bring to the table during conference season. Is G'town actually improved under Ewing or is that a mirage caused by a candyass ooc schedule? Is Butler going to be the Butler we're use to or is there a drop off?

X/Marq. is a good one too, we all know MU can light it up from 3. I'm interested in seeing if they've improved their D enough to make the dance and finish top 5 in the BE? X opening at Marq isn't easy, watching to see if they're gearing up for a huge season or are their chinks in the armor?
