Seton Hall vs #22 Texas Tech, 6:30pm, FS1, at MSG (i think).

Seton Hall rebounded with a 13-pt win vs Vanderbilt last Friday. Meanwhile, Texas Tech is ranked #22, despite not having a real signature win. I guess they dismantled Northwestern but NU has been struggling.

Shitting the bed against Rhode Island left the Hall with just 2 decent OOC games on it's schedule - today against Texas Tech and Sunday at Louisville. They need a split at minimum to feel decent about the OOC portion of their resume, and that assumes they don't trip on any more landmines.

SH hasn't really done itself any favors. Hard to see a path now where the Pirates have enough resume to gain a seed with a reasonable path. Hard to really make that next step as a program if your ceiling is a 6th seed, with the 8/9 game most common. Not too many 8/9s get past that 1

I agree, getting 1 of 2 is imperative for an NCAA birth or else they will probably need at least 10 Big East wins or more. Obviously doable but the Big East will be tough.

I'm not sure SH can be a top 4 seed. They'd need to go at least 12-6 in conference play. 12-6 plus 11-2 would get them to 23-8. That'd be a 15.2 RPI. But lose just 1 more game and it's 22-9 and a 20.9 RPI- getting down into that 6 seed line again.

Right now RPI forecast has it as a 25% chance of SH getting to at least 23 wins. That number would shrink considerably if SH loses the game tonight.
