Yeah, that did suck.

I thought we were about to finish them off after a valiant comeback (the Johnnies was down by 16 at one point and ended up taking a lead by 7). The zone actually didn't do much, but we had three straight poor possessions, and they come down and hit 3's on their possessions. I believed they hit seven or eight 3's in a row! It was still a ball game, but it inevitably became too much to overcome.

No more than one more non-conference loss for us before we go into conference play.

Portland State is 4/6 from 3PT to start the game. Butler down 16-14 at 12:46.

Sorry guys, I wouldn't bank on Butler doing much this year. They're single-handedly challenging Kenpom's theory that 3 point defense is largely irrelevant. Opponents are shooting 44% from 3 against the Dawgs on the season. Meanwhile, Butler's shooting 31.2% from deep on basically the same number of attempts. Hopefully things will get better, but they've played really terribly against the 2 good teams they've played this year.

Hey, you scared me cuz i didn't know the final. I just saw that Butler won 71-69 over Portland State. Probably not considered a road game, but PSU was in their home city. Just win baby.
