2017 NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Here’s how a flurry of trades will shape the night - Andrew Lynch, Fox Sports - 8:34 AM on June 21, 2017
We thought we knew how the top of the 2017 NBA Draft would go. One week ago, Boston was a lock to take Markelle Fultz with the No. 1 overall pick. The Celtics were ready to reap the benefits of trading Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets oh so many moons ago.

Instead, this week brought an important reminder that the Assocation can undergo a seismic shift overnight. Boston and the Philadelphia 76ers swapped the first and third selections in this year's draft, while the Lakers got rid of their young starting point guard to clear the way for a Big Baller.

With the 2017 NBA Draft just over 24 hours away, here's our final mock First Round picks ahead of what should be an explosive Thursday night.

15 – Portland – Justin Patton – C (Freshman, 6’-11”, 226 lbs.) – Creighton

And ESPN interviews Calipari instead of discussing the pick. Let the "ESPN hates the Big East" venom flow.

Sumner #52 NO ends up with Pacers. Probably best for him. Can't play this year but could have a HUGE career overseas when he gets healthy. Fly on Ed!

He could still have a big career in the NBA. We'll see what the Pacers decide to do, as he'll be able to play starting in January or February.

I sure was wrong about this kid back in December. Didn't think he'd be ready for the NBA this soon. Congratulations, Justin Patton. Nice work, Coach.

I'm not sure he will be ready for the NBA next year. I think he was drafted on his seemingly unlimited potential at the next level. But who knows. I was wrong about how quickly he developed last year. I thought he would be at CU at least through next year!
