This thread can be used to talk about who's leaving our teams as well as any transfer that transfers to one of our teams. There's also my various 'review' threads.

Thank you very much for your excellent Team Review articles OmahaGuy. They were very informative and interesting.

When you have time, would you please compile a listing of BE transfers announced from January 25th to present? Thanks again.

A free-agent culture: How transfers are killing Cinderella - Pete Thamel, Sports Illustrated - March 14, 2017
Change is seemingly the only constant in college basketball, as NCAA transfer data shows that nearly 40-percent of players who enter Division I out of high school transfer by the end of their sophomore year.

A Sports Illustrated study of transfer data reveals that since 2012, the amount of players who’ve transferred up to higher-rated leagues from the low- and mid-levels of college basketball has more than tripled. This has gutted rosters, led directly to coaches losing their jobs and twisted the culture to the point where star players leaving small schools has gone from an anomaly to an expectation.

“Small colleges are becoming the minor leagues for the big schools,” says Sonny Vaccaro, a longtime sneaker company executive who has been involved with college basketball for decades. “The small schools are being penalized for their success recruiting and developing players.”

SI’s study found that in 2012, 28 players left their schools for distinctly higher levels—19 traditional transfers and nine graduate students who were immediately eligible. Last off-season, that number jumped to 91, with 42 traditional transfers and 49 graduate transfers who were immediately eligible.

Disclaimer: For those of you who may be concerned that I excerpted too much of Jeff Goodman and Jeff Borzello’s listing, please note that it is merely a compilation of information which is already in the public domain and available from sources other than ESPN. Please see the linked article for Jeff Goodman and Jeff Borzello’s introductory comments and the complete listing, which also includes non-Division I transfers.

Myles Carter (mid season) - listed above, is just 1 of 4 transfers Seton Hall is losing. Carter is transferring due to being kicked off the team. The other transfers are:
Jevon Thomas (mid season)
Veer Singh (mid season)
Dalton Soffer (post season)

Easy to see why the Pirates struggled with depth issues with 3 midseason transfers plus Sanogo missing several games to injury.

This is interesting. He's a thick, athletic 6'8". Left NU (he said) so that he could go somewhere where he could be more of a 3 or 4 (He was a 5 for two years in Lincoln) since that's where he sees his best chance to make it to the next level. I have no idea if he can shoot well or not, but if he can score from mid-range and handle the ball a little bit, he could be a nice get. He's tremendous on the glass. I assume Wojo has assured him that he won't have to play the 5 in Milwaukee.

What do you guys have for size the next few years?

Morrow is an old school PF. He can rebound and defend but cant shoot worth a lick. Maybe he can develop that part of his game in his year off.
