4 games for us on Wednesday night, the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor...

Seton Hall vs California, 7pm, Pearl Harbor Invitational.
#16 Butler at Indiana State, 7pm.
#13 Xavier at Colorado, 9pm.
#10 Creighton at Nebraska, 9pm.

No one is playing at home, but we have a good slate.

Pretty much every reasonable Butler fan is really nervous about this game.

huge game for Seton Hall. To me, Seton Hall needs to at least split the next 2 games, with Cal and South Carolina. Don't want to head into conference play with 4 losses. If SH can split these 2, then go even 9-9 in conference play, that gets Seton Hall to 18-12 with a 52.7 RPI. That will be bubble, and may require a BET win. But if they lose these 2, then go 9-9 in conference play, that gets them to 17-13, with a 64.2 RPI. That is far more problematic- may require 2 BET wins to get in.

Big one for Xavier. 2nd toughest game left on the OOC slate, to the game @ Cincy.

These are reallly 4 tough games that can go either way. X and Creighton should be favored but road F5 wins are never easy. Seton Hall vs Cal is a toss up and Indiana State is sneaky good and this will be their best home opponent all year.

If Xavier doesn't beat Colorado that makes the Cincinnati game much more important as Xavier still doesn't have an OOC true road win. And Cincinnati isn't that bad for a mid major team this season.

it amazes me how folks want to use labels so much to say Cincy is a mid major team, when they the next breath despise folks using the P5 label. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Bottom line, Xavier beating Cincy would be a damn good win. May very well be a top 20 win by the end of the year.

As is every Creighton fan with none-too-distant memories of watching below-average Indiana State teams hurl everything they had at visiting Creighton teams in Terre Haute with awful announcers in standard definition broadcast.

All of these games should be competitive, so no sure things especially on the road. Nonetheless, I feel comfortable with all the favorites except Seton Hall. That should be a pick 'me game, but gun to my head I'm guessing that Cal wins it.
