Official Big East Tournament Bracket

Postby FenwayFriar » Sat Mar 05, 2016 5:46 pm

Well here it is folks. After all the scenarios over the last few games, we finally have the bracket. Personally I would love a rematch with Nova on Friday to try and make up for the phantom Bentil foul on Arcidiacono in last year's semis. Obviously have to get by a tough Butler team first. Should be a great Tourney as always. Hopefully we'll have some great crowds and fill MSG up.

Last year Xavier had all their good matchups on their side of the bracket (Butler, Georgetown) this year not so much. Both Marquette and St. John's played Xavier though then Seton Hall and Creighton are just mad matchups for them. Who would have thought Georgetown would be playing on Wednesday two of the 3 years in the 10 team big east tournament?

you can say the same thing about Marquette having played on Wednesday in 2 of the 3 years....

True, but Gerogetown was predicted to be #2 in the conference in 2014 and 2016 and #3 in 2015 preseason(Numbers could be off)

no doubt. But if I had told you 3 years ago that Georgetown and Marquette would have played on Wednesday in 2 of the first 3 years each, you would never have believed me. In a way, it's amazing what the Big East has done DESPITE those 2 programs being irrelevant for the most part.

What would be really interesting would be if SHU beats X and Nova on way to a BET title. Would have to think they could climb up to a 5, maybe even 4 depending how others fare. X last year jumped by just getting to the BET finals.

What does our resident bracketologist have to say about the possible NCAA seeding implications of these games?

Agreed until the final. Hall's hungry for another shot at Nova after the 1pt loss and if they get it, I don't think they'll lose a 3rd time.
