Too bad that one is in Champaign. It would make too much sense to have Illinois play at DePaul with the new Arena opening this year and all of the Illinois alum in Chicago

I think this one's better off in Champaign. Unless the new arena has DePaul's season ticket sales skyrocketing, I'd be afraid of Demon fans potentially being dominantly outnumbered in their own building.

Isn't that the case already for most DePaul games? I've been to Marquette, Butler and Xavier games at Allstate...each time the visitors outnumbered the DePaul fans in their own building.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but there's a major difference. Marquette, Butler, and Xavier don't come anywhere close to selling out AllState. My concern is that I think Illinois could possibly sell out the new DePaul arena with a sea of orange. Not exactly ideal for DePaul in the city that I assume is the primary recruiting ground for both schools. Also not good for the Big East's image as a power basketball conference.

Insecurity is not good for the league's image either.
