First off, I don't think the AAC is looked at as a mid-major.

2nd off, even if it was- last year- Tulsa was 58. Temple was 60. If Memphis made the final, they would be in the low-mid 50's.

also- Vandy last year was 63. Syracuse was 72.

Give them a little credit. They're not a low major.
