Well it hasn't been the overwhelming performance that I think a lot of us expected out of Xavier tonight but a win is a win. Survive and advance.

Taking that game all day after all these upsets. Bracket is really setting up nicely for X if they can get past Wisconsin.

well, here we are. 2 days. Can the Big East finally make that next move, the move that we all want the conference to make- to the next level. The next 48 hours will be gigantic.....

Saturday:
7:10 Butler vs Virginia
9:40 Providence vs UNC
Sunday:
12:10 Villanova vs Iowa
8:40 Xavier vs Wisconsin

looking at the 1st round(thank God we're back calling it the 1st round)- I wish Providence was in ANY other bracket outside the one they are in. They could have easily made the elite 8 if not further. But UNC/Kentucky is maybe- no probably the toughest combo- that anyone is having to face the next 2 rounds......

I will be content/expected with two through the Sweet 16. Ecstatic if three can make it through. 4 insane. That Seton Hall draw pissed me off at first. Then I took a look at the other 11s. 11Wichita destroyed Arizona and 11 UNI beat Texas. 11Michigan was beating Notre Dame for the majority of the game.

And at this point Xavier would have to play at best a 6 to advance to the Elite 8. But, all these games will be battles. Big next two days.

so question- haven't heard anyone mention this yet- the impact of the game from 2 years ago when UNC barely beat PC...

what is strange about this is that UNC actually has 4 guys who played at least 13 minutes still on their roster(while PC has no one left). Paige had 19 points, Meeks 12 points, and Johnson 16 points. Meeks 12 points in only 13 minutes. Rebounding killed PC that night- 40-26 edge for UNC.

Heading up to Raleigh in a few hours, I sure hope the Providence team that beat Butler 3 times shows up tonight! I'm sticking around after the Butler game to lend a little support, but will be drown out by the locals! Hope the UNC fans root against the Wahoos, but I think they go the other way except if we were to play play Duke again. Good luck Friars, and Go Dawgs!
