Nice work

#bigeaststarpower

Funny how Nova beats the johnnies without the chef by 15 on the road and some folks on here say they don't look like a top 10 team headed for another early exit while X wins by single digits at home and it gets chalked up the johnnies playing hard. Guess the cheap shots will keep coming as long as nova keeps winning. Winning breeds hatred.

For the record love this X team and last night is nothing to worry about. Team is built to go far.

Novaball, you responding to yourself with different accounts?

LOL, I swear I was thinking the exact same thing

But let me throw out an interesting point about the need for ALL teams to contribute. Here is a list of teams that made a FF as a member of the BE:

G'town (4x)
Villanova (2x)
UConn (4x)
St. John's
Providence
Seton Hall
Syracuse (2x)
Louisville (2x)
West Virginia

And Marq had made the FF two years before joining the BE. Now THAT is a serious conference, with serious street cred up and down the conference. It wasn't a conference with just one bully--every team was a bully.

It's wasn't the ACC where it was basically Duke and UNC and a bunch of so-so teams; not the B12 with Kansas or the SEC with UK & FL or the Pac10 with UCLA. Just about EVERY team contributed.

No one waited around for Syracuse, Uconn, G'town or Nova to "win one for the rest of us."

And you might also have added Butler's 2 trips to the Final Four a couple of years prior to joining the Big East!

Pretty big difference though. Old conference you had 4-5 teams that were seeded well enough to be predicted to go far. Top 3-4 seeds. So if one goes down, the others could pick up the slack. But in the NBE with only 10 teams total, if 1 goes down, it's a lot more dire, as there's only 1 other maybe that are seeded well enough to go far.

Do you really need to play the Contrarian with every post? You are basically making an identical point that I am, but calling it a "big difference." I stated that ALL teams need to step up, not just a few.

"If one goes down, the others could pick up the slack." How is that any different from the point I made?

ChestRockwell85 don't get too sensitive here. It's regretable that you and several other decent Nova fans got caught in the crossfire that was primarily directed at one Nova fan in particular. Life would be so much easier if Ball would announce he's now a Temple fan or something. Then world peace and harmony on the board would abound for all.

Honestly do people understand the "Ignore" feature on a message board. All I read about is how people can't stand NovaBall and yet they don't just ignore him.

So from this point forward I call BS to anyone who says they are just responding to someone that they openly admit they can't stomach. IGNORE! It's so, so simple.

1. Click on Ball's name.
2. Click: "Add foe."
3. Confirm

Now all of his posts are ignored. Problem solved.

Thanks Gumby!...I had no idea about that feature!....(I'm a bit technically challenged).....Personally, I love all of the Big East teams and root hard for all of the members.....I have close friends from Gtown, Villanova and PC so I'm a bit more partial to those schools but love the new additions as well.....

difference is-
OBE- even if 1 team goes down you still have 3-4 others that can do damage- and often did. Someone was pretty close to guaranteed step up...
NBE if 1 team goes down you have 1 other tops that can do damage seeding wise. Yeah you might get a surprise team but don't want to count on that. Like last year- you had 1,4,6,6,6, 9 seeds. When Nova goes down, the rest aren't favorites necessarily even after the 1st round.....
