Quieter crowd for a Nova-St. John's game. Lots of Nova fans in the building like usual (probably 65/35 SJU fans) but there wasn't much to cheer about. Nova came out flat and didn't play well but I don't think there was ever any doubt who was going to win.

I never once thought we were going to lose that game. I didn't think that was talking smack. We played the worst half of basketball we've played all year (outside of the Oklahoma game), and we were still winning at halftime.

And the numbers back it up. Here's the KenPom win probability chart. Never below 85%.

If you want smack, I can just say that you haven't beaten Villanova at the Garden since 2002, and even that game doesn't count because you paid one of your players. You have never beaten a Jay Wright Villanova team at the Garden in a game that the NCAA actually counts.

Hopefully for your sake and the league's, you get Alkins, a couple guys to go around him, and Mullin can develop this team into something. Everyone on the board would like St. John's to be good.
