League should make a policy that it is a million dollar fine if your out of conference sos is over 200. It hurts the entire league.

Or just make a rule, you can't schedule any team that has an RPI of 300 or worse from the year prior or maybe some 5 year average of 300 or worse (unless it's part of an exempt tourney). Playing some cupcakes are fine, just not any that are +300 rpi.

So our bubbke teams all shot themselves in the foot ooc.

While I agree that Creighton's, Seton Halls and Butler's OOC all are nearly as bad as Marquette, it's sometimes hard to predict how good your OOC will truly be until the games are played. I think everyone can agree that looking at Marquette's before the start of the season, you KNEW it was gonna be BAD.

Part of Creighton's problem this year was they were in an absolute garbage exempt tournament. Played 4 teams- 210 Texas Southern, 344 UTSA, 240 Rutgers, and 191 UMass. Then scheduled besides that 6 teams 155 or worse. Had 3 decent games- Indiana, Arizona St, and Oklahoma- and lost all 3 of them. I don't think many of the teams that Creighton played this year were exactly good last year. At least Marquette had 5 good games scheduled- top 100- and went 3-2 in those 5 games.

Believe it or not most MU fans would be fine with that. We hate this garbage as much as anyone.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I'd maybe allow one or two, just for the sake of young teams who need experience. That said, we all know our OOC was garbage and the season ticket holders are complaining.
