Hey champ, how about you guys get a few more teams in the tourney before you start sticking out your chest... And one of your best teams is facing a post season ban already going into this year. What do you expect? Maybe 3 teams to make the tourney this year?

What conference are you guys hoping to get an invite from so you can bolt? Not one team in the BE wants to go anywhere.

Really? Trash talking on a pre-season poll. "Bearcat" you of all people know that Xavier does not get a lot of pre-season love. Usually it's post-season. But, please, enjoy your pre-season success!
I'll bet you that Nova, Gtown, Butler, and X. Have a better season then UConn, UC, Smu, and Temple!!!

ehhh I think Georgetown would take an ACC invite

Doubt it. Georgetown has no interest in investing in football and would not like playing 2nd/3rd fiddle to southern schools, i.e. the Carolina's.

Agreed. The basketball schools played sidekick to the football schools for two decades. All of the Big East schools are now firmly in control of their own destiny and direction. The Big East, while still being perceived as a power conference in basketball, is the top basketball-only conference in the country. The American? They are the number six conference (at best). Unfortunately, in both football and basketball, their results have roller-coastered season-to-season, so there is no consistent basis as to what they really are.

We would like to add SMU, but they are always on probation and postseason bans for cheating and breaking rules. It's always unfortunate when a conference's best team is banned from both the conference tournament and NCAA tournament. Never a good look for a conference.

Cincinnati should be more concerned about the fact that Tommy Tuberville is winless in the AAC this season or that the Bearcats have lost 11 (ELEVEN) times to Xavier since 2000. Perhaps they should be more worried about the fact that Chris Mack has reached more Sweet Sixteens (three to one) in less time (six seasons) than Mick Cronin has as a head coach (twelve seasons). Enjoy those heated basketball battles with the likes of Tulane, East Carolina, UCF, and USF.

Didn't see Markett anywhere in that poll. Does Markett even field a basketball team anymore? I haven't heard a word about them since Buzz left.

STFU, and go back to your rinky-dink football conference board. Yo, NJRedman, what you got on this?
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

You know you're insecure about your team and conference if your first instinct is to troll another conference message board after the release of one writer's ultimately meaningless preseason poll. Says all that really needs to be said about Cincy and the AAC.

1. SMU = probation, not even worth discussing(you should actually be very embarrassed by them, but no you're actually bragging them up, well done)

2. Cincy < Butler, G'Town, Xavier, and probably Prov.

3. UConn = only legit team in that conference, why don't you just change your allegiance to them, that way it's not so awkward when you're nut hugging them all the time.

 Marquette has the #13 overall recruiting class in the country for 2015; Cincinnati - #59. Since 2006, Cincinnati has been to five NCAA tournaments, with just one Sweet 16. During that same stretch, Marquette has been to eight NCAA Tournaments, with three Sweet Sixteens and an Elite Eight. Marquette also averages higher attendance per game (even in down seasons) more than Cincinnati.

I'd be irritated too if I was in the AAC and saw Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Rutgers, Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, Providence, Seton Hall and DePaul all find greener pastures while my school was left behind to be in a conference with Tulane, Tulsa, East Carolina, UCF, USF, Memphis, Houston and SMU. After trying for years to get out of Conference USA, Cincinnati is right back where it started.

no one team in the BE wants to go anywhere that would actually invite them.
