I had a chance right out of college in early 90's to live with some cousins from our large California-branch, haha, in San Diego and Chula Vista. A branch of my Italian-American side, all of them treated me like gold, couldn't have been more generous and welcoming.

I had stayed with them several weeks already, July 1991, i had no responsibilities, free as a freakin bird, and they had a bunch of gorgeous friends to hang with... But the economy sucked in 1991 and i had a new job lined up here in Rhode Island... i replay that decision in my head only around 742 times a day. Lol.

Kids reading this... enjoy yourself when you're young, do a lot of traveling if possible, see Europe, and if possible live rent-free with cousins in San Diego, amongst their beautiful blonde friends.

Hey, a real midlife crisis playing out at the HLOH, haha.

Anyway, great decision by Lavs.

I spent most of a summer in Carlsbad a few years ago when my son was living in San Diego near the beach. Great weather, and fun, but I couldn't live in that cultural wasteland.

Lol, aaay, i don't know nothing about no cultural stuff... all i know is i could walk into my uncle's backyard and pick actual figs off his trees... i was eating figs like a coked-up kinkajou... with Heather Thomas under one arm and Emma Samms on the other.

Pretty good breakdown of the Big East Coaches (obviously a Nova slant), but... some interesting numbers.

Good stuff, Chap.

The conference continues to trend in the right direction in every regard, though "performance balance" (i.e. a program or three other than Nova) needs to improve.

One thing is for certain when it comes to must see TV next season: Butler at Xavier is going to be wild - Matta v Miller.

Good numbers Jack (Nchap). Nice to see.

My guy Thad Matta is the real deal. He's gonna be a handful to deal with.
So Lil Cr8n, X, and SH are giving their Prez's a real bang for their hard-earned bucks.
Marquette, Gtwn, Stj not so much...

Erobody over on the Jays boards want to give ol' Mac another raise. He just signed an
extension (probably with a hefty increase in that package). He's doin' good, but another
RS champeenship, the 1st BET, and/or an EE run is in order before I am able to see another
increase. He's doin' okay at $2M/yr. Show me some conf hardware/banners and a
Regional Trophy and then we'll talk.

Git, this could be the year for 2 out of those goals. Damn hard to get all 3 in the same year.

Jays are loaded and I believe will be preseason #1. Just have to avoid that darn injury bug which seems to bite you guys pretty regularly.

Gonna miss him on FS1/Fox.

Well, there's a perfect replacement for Lavin available now.
