Which Big East City has the Best Food?

Chicago, my home for 25+ years, has the best food of any BE town. The list of great restaurants and food categories is endless including ribs, pizza (stuffed of course), steaks, Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago style hot dogs, perogies, delis.... and don't get me started about their bakeries. Great town.

Maybe you should get out more. NY has vastly superior restaurants, and DC has a fantastic array of ethnic places. I like Chicago, but it doesn't hold a candle to either of these two cities.

Maybe you should get out more. NY has vastly superior restaurants, and DC has a fantastic array of ethnic places. I like Chicago, but it doesn't hold a candle to either of these two cities.

You're definitely wrong on DC. Idk where you go when you head out around Chicago but I'd invite you to get out of the Loop and Lincoln Park to experience the real food. NYC I might give you, many reputable food blogs and rating websites disagree and rank Chicago higher though. That being said DC is never considered higher so I'd base that one off of you not getting around Chicago as much as DC or a personal bias.

True, dat. I lived in DC for ten years, half the time as a single, and ate out a lot. I have spent time in Chicago, but never lived there, so I won't argue your point.

I grew up in Omaha and lived there till I was 25 and worked in restaurants all through HS and college, then lived all over the country and world for the past 25 years....and when I go back to Omaha, which has always been a great restaurant town with just about every ethnicity and style covered, the thing I’m most impressed with is the service. Friendly prompt service at a great price... there’s a lot to be said about that. And they don’t hold back on the spicy ness like down here in Florida. When you go to a Thai, Indian, Mexican or BBQ pit and ask for the hottest they got be prepared for a nuclear bomb blowing out your ears and napalm shooting out your eyes. It’s painful but so damn good.
