Xavier simply did not come close to expectations, especially of mine personally. So now, there is no way to back up my early season hyperbole but at the time it seemed justified based on what we had returning.

So, hats off to Gumby and Git for seeing right through it. Very impressive prognostication by both. I'm relatively new here and you both will get the benefit of the doubt from me going forward, along with well deserved respect.

Xuper... to be up front and candid I did have X in 4th place in my preseason picks. Thanks for the props, but my semi-educated guesses also contain my personal biases as well. I dumped on both Prov and Butler in my preseason picks and both have outshone my guesses. As for the coaches, generally they fail to hit water while chunking rocks from liferafts in the middle of the Atlantic. Just saying...

Keep your head up, your thoughts positive, and your expectations high. I like your style! gtmo

And Powell gets to play with Mamu.

Who missed 10 games with a broken wrist (11 if you include the game where he broke his wrist inside the 1st 5 minutes) and then needed a couple to get back up to speed.

You can correct me with stats because I'm only judging by Hall games I've watched, but I'm not sure I can connect Powell's shooting struggles with Mamu's injury. If Alexander outplays Powell again Saturday, I'd be at a loss if he doesn't win the POY.
