Seton Hall definitely in some trouble.... You figure they need to get to 18-12 to make the tourney.... so 6-5.... with last 2 games at home vs Marquette and Nova. And road games left with Nova, Creighton, St John's, and Georgetown.

Outrebounded 42-19. That's just zero effort.

Bad game for the Johnnies. Really starting to not care anymore, because this year we should not just make the Tournament, but be a top 3 BE/Top 25 team. At 3-4, I don't see us finishing top 3/4 in the conference. If we go 9-9, squeak into Dayton, and lose, that'd be a pretty mediocre showing. In that case, I rather not make the Tournament so the decision on Mullin would be a lot easier.

I haven't given up on the season/Mullin yet, but looking forward to this getting resolved either way. Been a long 4 years, just a couple months to go.

See you guys in a week.

Looking at the four "contenders/pretenders", I'm not quite as down on SJ's as some of their fans are. Nine of their last 12 games are very winnable. They have to defend their home court. A loss to Nova won't kill them, but they have to win the other games. What will decide their fate are 4 road games vs 4 of the weaker teams in the league. Obviously a win against Duke, Nova, or MU would help immensely, but they can make it without that if they take care of business in the other games.
Butler took care of business this week, but their road is still very tough. 4 games vs Nova, and MU, plus a road game at SJU leaves little room for error. I'm not optimistic here.
Seton Hall has made their road much tougher by losing at home to DePaul. After playing Nova on the road, they have 8 winnable games in a row, before hosting Marquette, and Nova to end the season. The door is open for them if they are really a quality team. This is by no means a bad schedule, but it will certainly expose them if they are a fraud.
Creighton has their backs to the wall. At 1-4, they can't afford to slip any further behind. They have 4 winnable games coming up before going to Nova. They absolutely have to win 3 of these games. Do or die!
DePaul, X, GU, and PC will continue to act as land mines to the other 4 schools.
My guess is that St. John's, and Seton Hall will be the survivors. Nothing would shock me though.

Mullin is not a coach, he's a figurehead. The recipe is not working and has not worked 4 straight years. We are seeing the same problems over and over giving up tons of 3's, unable to win 2 in a row, no big man which Mullin had 2 years to solve and couldn't, getting smacked around 1st half only to start a comeback with 5 minutes left in the game and come up short. We can't even hit FT's...or layups. Yes, really those are serious issues. We have all the talent and more to not only make the tournament but finish top 3 in conference if not win it outright. Despite what people say, yes this is still a down year for our conference overall. A good coach would have led SJ to dominate this year and instead we are 3-4 and haven't even went on our toughest roadtrip yet. We will be 8-10 by season's end at 20-10 (8-10), make the NIT as 3 seed and some will praise Mullin for it.

Not me. I'm sick of helter skelter play and I want consistency for once in the winning column. What does it say about Mullin that we have arguably our best roster in decades in a down year for the Big East and we will still likely miss the tourney? Pull the plug. The conference is still tough obviously but Nova is rebuilding and they're 5-0. Marq. is 4-1. We have every bit as much talent as they do if not more. What they have that we don't? A coach.
