Is anyone gonna point out Stever’s comment that this will be close because Detroit is 34.5% from three on the season?

Sadly, with Valpo gone, the Horizon is undoubtedly low-major. And frankly, they have had that designation for most years since Butler left. Haven’t had a team seeded better than #13 since Butler left.

Butler had an ugly stretch in the second half, but pull back away and win by 21.

Is there a legal way to bet sports online? On a website that's not super shady?

Would've been a good game to bet on since Butler didn't cover. Should've take my advice, Stever. I'll admit Detroit was a little scary up until the final few minutes.

Anyways, good job by Butler. 17-1.

Butler 84, Detroit Mercy 63.

Detroit, like basically every BE opponent, shot lights-out from three. In Detroit's case, after cutting the lead to 44-40, they couldn't sustain their insane hot shooting and Butler built the lead back up.

The other night, Evansville never loost their hot shooting touch, yet XU was still able to win going away.
Bowling Green, Central Connecticut, and Wichita, among others, shot crazy percentages.

Typically hitting 50% from 3 is unsustainable over 40 minutes.

Yeah, Davis is a pretty good coach. Didn't get to see it.

I think I would have bet Detroit in that game. 26 points is a lot especially early in the season.

I only know two athletes named Mike Davis:
1. Obscure U of Illinois small forward from a couple of years ago.
2. Outfielder from the 80's who played for the A's and Dodgers... he actually walked with 2 out and scored on Kirk Gibson's HR in 88.

Is there a third Mike Davis?
Ok... the coach who replaced Bobby Knight at IU.

There's also Mike Davis, the Seton Hall center from 07-09. Who's probably best known among SHU fans for putting up this line in a game against Georgetown:

MIN FGM-FGA FG% 3PM-3PA 3P% FTM-FTA FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS
2 0-0 .000 0-0 .000 0-0 .000 0 0 0 0 5 0 0

Yes, that is doing nothing but fouling out in 2 minutes of playing time.

Lol Hall. i don't remember that Mike Davis.

By the way, DePaul crushed Morgan State last night. How funny that DePaul now gets reliable wins vs cupcakes. i'm more uncertain with PC vs Holy Cross. The Crusaders led Michigan 24-18 at the half.
