With the number of starters we lost from last year's team, and a new coach, this year will be pretty difficult for X.
We've been fortunate in the last few coaching changes to smoothly keep on an upward path, but coupled with the newer lineup that may be asking a lot this year.
Looking forward to a tough year, but we'll keep on swinging.

While it obviously makes us all take a little more of the blanket at night when we have a margin of victory over a mid-major of four or so, we should not put too much stock in it at this point. Instead, we should focus on the fact that the games have been won and the manner in which the Big East team,s handled early adversity. That is what these games are for. Take St. John's since I watched the whole game. Ponds was having a horrible half and he was having some issue with cramping. Keita left the game after five minutes and then BG just started raining threes on them. At 16 minutes left in the second half Johnnies down 11 with seemingly no light at the end of the tunnel. But they adjusted, Ponds came back in to the game mid second half and defense got better. Past SJU teams don't come back from 11 down second half. But, they were able to do so. If not for a number of missed free throws done the stretch, they would have won by at least nine. Better they see that they need to be consistent regardless of if they are playing Villanova or Bowling Green, and that they have the talent to overcome a double digit deficit. That is what these games are for. So just keep playing and winning and when the losses come - and they will - we'll deal with it. We are a top five conference at this point and will be by the end of the season.

Yeah not too concerned about the score line. Georgetown lead for all but a few seconds early on. CCSU hit 48% from 3 including a meaningless one at the end to take away the double digit win. Working through a lot of line ups with a lot of new pieces. Coach said he could easily just play the best people and the best rotations but he’s trying to see what he has. We’ll know more after this week, but this team is going to improve through out the season as our freshman get used to the jump from high school and our redshirt guys get back into the swing of things.

Creighton has Martin Krampelj barely 9 months from his ACL tear. It is going to be a couple of months before he is close to 100%. Epperson is hurt and might also be a month before he is full speed. Our only other big is a true freshman. He shows some promise, but he's a freshman. We are working in a few other new players into the regular rotation. We will be a much different team a month from now.
