Are you saying we should be naked when we watch such developments? C'mon, stever20. Don't trust spell-check for everything.

On a more serious note, congratulations to Nova for another FF appearance. Sorry my Muskies couldn't join you. But I will be rooting for you, and fully expect you, to win it all Monday night. Way to represent.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

That sound you hear, is Boeheim whining.

The other sound is him digging a booger out of his nose.

Plenty of kids before him haven't played in college, and both the kids and college basketball have been fine. School isn't for everyone. Media will overstate its significance just like Brandon Jennings, Emmanuel Mudiay, etc.

This is a huge gamble, IMO. Unlike minor league baseball and hockey, basketball college-forgoers are not signed to the pro team. For a G-League team, who are likely to have their own young players that are aiming to develop, play and provide experience to, I'm not sure where the incentive is to play him. If anything, if a top NBA team gets him on the G-League roster, what's to stop both parties from arranging little playing time (and lack of development) in hopes of rigging the draft stock? It's not like fans show up to G-League games anyways, so it won't affect attendance.

He also will be going up against much tougher competition.

It will be interesting to see nevertheless. I do hope that the NBA goes away with the one-and-done rule. It would make the college game much more enjoyable.

Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered. The NCAA could've seen what a good thing they had and starting giving the kids decent money a long time ago. Now they lose out on the top talent because of $25k.

It's not $25k. He can now sign shoe contracts, sign with an agent, etc.
