Here is Lunardi's updated bracket

Xavier as a 2 seed in what looks like the easiest region. Also, Virginia's exalted defense is the same that Mack runs (pack-line), so I don't think we would have any problems with it.

Virginia runs their defense amazingly well and Xavier doesn't... So there's that.

True, but I like that match up as well. I’d also say that a not insignificant part of that difference is that we play at a radically faster pace than they do.

Yea, but Mack knows that defense better than anybody. I would put good money on X over Virginia right now. Shit, I would be much more worried about #3 seed West Virginia than #1 Virginia.

Don't know if you saw Xavier vs #1 seed Arizona last year in the Sweet 16 but Mack knew exactly what to do against Miller's pack-line defense. And Arizona had 10x better athletes than Virginia does.
